Baku/18.01.21/Turan: A service road from the city of Fizuli to Shusha was put into operation.
Anar Najafli, the head of the press service of the State Agency for Highways, said that this is a two-lane road with a length of 101.5 km.
It was built in parallel with the main highway, which will be commissioned in late 2021 - early 2022.
In places, both roads will coincide. Due to bridges and tunnels (3 km), the length of the main road will be reduced by 17 km and will amount to 84.6 km.
The road passes through the territory of the Khojavend and Khojaly regions and through the village of Dashalty and the Topkhana forest to Shusha.
The construction of road junctions is also planned. The Fizuli-Shusha section of 48 km will be six lanes, and then four lanes.
The road will pass by the international airport to be built in Fizuli.
The project also includes the construction of a two-kilometer road to Isa bulagi, which will start from about 82 km of the Fizuli-Shusha road.
The project is being implemented by the State Agency for Roads. Construction in areas with difficult terrain is carried out by a group of Turkish companies headed by Kolin İnşaat. The new road will shorten the way to Shusha to 345 km. –06D-
