Baku/18.05.22/Turan: On the evening of May 17, Armenian armed forces intermittently shelled positions of Azerbaijani armed forces towards the settlements of Yellija and Barmagbineh, the Qalbajar region.
On the night of May 18, heavy fire was launched towards Zyaylik village of the same region.
The Azerbaijani armed forces responded adequately in all cases, according to the country's Defense Ministry.

On November 15, animal rights activist Kamran Mammadli was detained while staging a protest at the COP29 climate conference. Mammadli was protesting the shooting of street dogs in Azerbaijan.
