Shusha to host meeting of Muslim leaders of Turkic states
Baku/17.10.22/Turan: The third meeting of Muslim leaders of the countries-participants in the Organization of Turkic States will be held on October 19-21 in Azerbaijan.
It is planned to set up a Council of the Heads of Muslim Religious Administrations of the Turkic States. The establishment of the Council will be announced on October 20 in Shusha, the cultural capital of the Turkic world, according to a report by the Caucasus Muslims Office dated October 17.
The participants of the meeting - Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States Baghdad Amreev; Turkish Minister for Religious Affairs Ali Erbas; Mufti of Uzbekistan Nuriddin Kholiknazarov; Chief Mufti of Kazakhstan Nauryzbay Taganulu; Mufti of Kyrgyzstan Zamir Rakiev and Mufti of Turkmenistan Yalkab Khodzhaguliev will hold a joint prayer at the Shusha mosque "Yukhary Gevheraga".
On October 21, the religious leaders will take part in the international conference "The richness of the Turkic-Islamic heritage and its value within the framework of topical issues of our time", which will be held in Baku.
Note vthat the first meeting of Muslim leaders of the member-countries of the Organization of Turkic States was held in Istanbul in April this year, the second - in May in the Kazakh city of Turkistan. -03В06-
