Baku/06.09.23/Turan: Slovakia will build a "Smart village" in Aghdam region, the Chairman of the Slovak Parliament Boris Kollar said at a meeting with the Speaker of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova. He said that the program of his current visit to Azerbaijan also includes a trip to the liberated territories of Azerbaijan. "An agreement will be signed on the project documents for the construction of a smart village in the village of Bash Garvend of the Agdam district.
We discussed this project with President Ilham Aliyev. Project documents should be prepared by February next year. Azerbaijan wants to speed up the whole process. The construction of the "smart village" is expected to begin in the spring of next year," Kollar said. The first "smart village" in the territories liberated from the Armenian occupation was built in the village of Agaly in the Zangilan region. More than 100 families have already returned to this settlement.
According to official data, about 900 settlements were destroyed in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan during the Armenian occupation of 1992-2020. ----03b06----
