Soldiers of Russian peacekeeping contingent lifted and moved aside Armenian picketers' сar in Khojaly
Baku/16.08.23/Turan: Soldiers of the Russian peacekeeping contingent removed a SUV in front of the gate of the airport in Khojaly, with which Armenians intended to block the exit and entrance to the RPC base. The KIA SUV was lifted by the soldiers and moved aside. According to the Armenian side, the Russians are not travelling on this road yet.
On 15 August it was reported about the beginning of the protest action of Karabakh Armenians, who closed the road at the gates of the RPC base and protested against the refusal of the RPC management to accompany the Armenian protest march to the border on the Khakari River.
The action is organised by the initiative group "People's Movement for Unblocking the Corridor" created by Artur Osipyan.
Telegram channel "Armenian Life" published a video from the site of the action. On one of them Artur Osipyan addresses the command of the peacekeeping contingent in a megaphone. He accused the peacekeepers of failing to fulfil their obligations to maintain peace in the corridor, as well as the fact that the peacekeepers let "armed Azerbaijanis" into the Lachin corridor area, while Armenians are forced to cross the corridor unarmed.
It is unclear from the video how many people came to the headquarters of the Russian peacekeepers - apart from Osipyan and the person shooting the video, no more than a dozen people were in the frame. Another video shows the carriageway blocked by a bus.
There is no information about today's incident on the RPC website.-0-
