Special operation in Jalilabad, there are detainees
Baku/07.12.20/Turan: Since Monday morning, law enforcement agencies are conducting an operation in the Jalilabad region, in the south of the country. According to unconfirmed reports, senior executives were arrested.
There is no official information yet. A local source told Turan that the building of the executive branch is surrounded by numerous police officers and their vehicles.
“There are detainees, the reason is unknown,” the source said.
During this year, seven heads of executive power and their subordinates were arrested for corruption. All of them are under investigation. -05B-

On November 19, the Sabail District Court of Baku granted the prosecution's request to extend the pretrial detention of Talysh researcher Iqbal Abilov for another four months, his lawyer, Rovshan Rahimov reported. According to the lawyer, the defense considers Abilov’s detention to be unjustified and disputes the charges brought against him. Abilov himself also rejected the accusations. The defense plans to file an appeal against the court's decision.
