Special representatives of Turkey and Armenia to hold third meeting in Vienna
Baku/14.04.22/Turan: On Wednesday, a Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said that concrete steps would be taken to normalize Turkish-Armenian relations and steps were taken to build confidence.
"We attach great importance to the agreement reached by Armenia and Azerbaijan at the meeting in Brussels on the establishment of a border commission, and the agreement on a comprehensive peace agreement proposed by Azerbaijan," Cavusoglu said.
“For stability in the South Caucasus, it is necessary to normalize relations between everyone and restore long-broken relations. It is not easy, bold steps are needed,” he added. According to him, the third meeting of the special representatives of Turkey and Armenia will be held in Vienna.
“I would like to tell the Armenians that this is not an easy process. Part of the diaspora in the US and France does not support this normalization. On the one hand, you say that one day relations should be normalized, borders should be opened, and on the other hand, you are still afraid to hold a meeting in Turkey and Yerevan.
What's wrong with meeting in Turkey? If you cannot meet in Turkey, how will we proceed with other issues? We even said that we could come to Yerevan, but we were told no, let's meet in a third country,” Cavusoglu said. -02D-
