State Department official discussed the problems of the press in Baku
Noah Krystel, Deputy Director of the State Department, Deputy Eurasia Division in the Department of State held a meeting on October 21 with a group of leaders of the Azerbaijani media.
According to the press service of the embassy, they discussed the status and problems of the media, as well as the freedom of speech.
According to unofficial data, Noah Krystel will also hold a series of meetings with officials.
Recall that in the summer of this year, the Azerbaijani authorities blocked the implementation of projects by American and Western grants. Last week legal restrictions were taken under which giving and receiving grants from foreign donors is possible only with the consent of the government of Azerbaijan. -03B-
