Strong earthquake in western Turkey
Baku / 30.10.20 / Turan: The Department of Emergency Situations of the Turkish government reported a strong earthquake in the western part of the country. The epicenter of the tremors recorded at 15:51 Baku time was in the Aegean Sea off the coast of Izmir province. The source of the earthquake was located at a depth of 16.5 km, the Anadolu agency reports.
The tremors lasted about 15 seconds, and were felt in many provinces of western Turkey.
As a result, six residential buildings were destroyed in the Bornova and Bayrakli districts of Izmir. The victims have not yet been reported. -02D-
