Tasks for neutralizing terrorists were completed at "Wave of Khazri" exercises
Baku/21.07.23/Turan: Tasks for neutralizing the terrorist group were completed at the tactical exercises of the Azerbaijani armed forces "Wave of Khazri", the country's Defense Ministry reported.
"The tactical exercises "Wave of Khazri" on conducting combat operations for protection and defense of energy infrastructure in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea are continuing," the ministry said in a press release.
At the next stage of the exercises, tasks were completed to neutralize a terrorist group based on one of the islands in the sea, and to carry out combat operations to prevent sabotage and terrorist attacks.
"All the assigned tasks are being successfully carried out in cooperation with the Navy, the Ground Forces, the Air Force and the Coast Guard of the State Border Service," the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry further said.
The Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan announced the start of exercises in the Caspian Sea with the participation of 1,500 military personnel on July 20. -06B-

The Azerbaijani citizen in the vehicle claimed ownership of the cargo and also stated that he was a diplomat. The investigation by the prosecutor's office is ongoing, reports Sabah newspaper. The media outlet does not disclose the name of the "diplomat," only his initials – M.G.Ş. The Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs has declined to comment on the situation.
