Telephone conversation between the Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and France
Baku / 02.10.20 / Turan: On October 2, a telephone conversation took place between the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and France, Jeyhun Bayramov and Jean-Yves Le Drian.
According to the press service of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, Le Drian expressed serious concern about the tension in the region. He stressed the importance of de-escalation and adherence to the ceasefire. In this regard, the statement of the leaders of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chair countries was mentioned.
In turn, Bayramov said that in response to the new military aggression of Armenia, undertaken on September 27, the Azerbaijani Armed Forces launched a counter-offensive within their internationally recognized borders.
The minister drew attention to the fact that the Armenian Armed Forces are purposefully firing at the civilian population and infrastructure, which led to numerous casualties. This is another gross violation of international law by Armenia. All responsibility for maintaining tensions rests entirely with the political and military leadership of Armenia. — 06D-
