144 new cases of COVID-19 in Azerbaijan
Baku / 02.10.20 / Turan: 144 new cases of COVID-19 infection were detected in Azerbaijan, while 149 were cured, one died, the Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers said today.
In total, 40 453 cases of infection were detected in Azerbaijan, 38 217 - recovered, 594 - died, 1 642 - active patients continue treatment.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, 1,126,538 tests for coronavirus have been conducted, including 5,248 in the last 24 hours. –06D-

On December 25, an Embraer 190 passenger plane operated by Azerbaijan Airlines CJSC (AZAL), on a Baku–Grozny flight, crashed near the city of Aktau in Kazakhstan. Azerbaijan’s Consul General in Aktau, Ayxan Suleymanlı, stated that the plane had 67 people onboard, including crew members, 38 of whom died. According to him, 26 of the deceased were Azerbaijani citizens.
