Telephone Conversations between Putin, Pashinyan, Aliyev
Baku / 24.11.20 / Turan: On November 23 and 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin held telephone conversations with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan and the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. This is stated in the message of the Kremlin press service.
"The results of the November 21 trip of the Russian interdepartmental delegation to Yerevan and Baku, as well as the implementation of the provisions of the Statement of the leaders of the three countries of November 9, were discussed in detail.
The modalities of the work of Russian peacekeepers in the Nagorno-Karabakh region and further steps to provide humanitarian assistance to the population were considered.
The issues of economic interaction and unblocking of transport communications in the region were also touched upon, the message says. -02В-

The New York-based Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) has condemned the arrest of six journalists and media workers in Azerbaijan, including five staff members of Meydan TV and one freelance journalist. "At around noon, independent journalist Ramin Jebrailzadeh (also known as Ramin Deko) was detained at Baku airport upon his arrival from neighboring Georgia, where he had been covering pro-European protests. At the same time, law enforcement officers in different parts of the city detained Natig Javadhli, Khayala Agaeva, Aytac Tapdyg, Aynur Elgunesh, and Aysel Umudova, who work with the Germany-based independent media outlet Meydan TV," the CPJ statement reads.

Georgian special forces dispersed anti-government demonstrators on Rustaveli Avenue in Tbilisi on Friday night, which was the first such crackdown in three days of protests.
