The Armenian military was surrounded in the area of Lake Garagel
Baku/10.11.21/Turan: The recent visit of the Minister of Defense of Armenia to Lake Garagel (Sivlich) turned into an encirclement of about 60 Armenian military. According to a press release of the Ministry of defence of Azerbaijan, on November 9th Armenian Defense Minister Arshak Karapetyan instructed the units of the Armenian Armed Forces to redeploy to Lake Garagel and cut the road along which the posts of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan communicated.
However, after some time, a detachment of the Azerbaijani army's special forces arrived at the scene, which actually took the Armenians into encirclement.
Cut off from their own in the cold in the mountains (about 2500 meters at sea level) without hot food and heat, the Armenians requested help from the Russian border guards. Only after their appeal to the Azerbaijani command, the Armenians were allowed to leave. –06D-
