Baku/10.12.22/Turan: The operational situation in the Kalbajar, Lachin and Dashkesan regions, as well as in the territories of the temporary deployment of the Russian peacekeeping contingent, was discussed on December 10 at a meeting of the Collegium of the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry. Relevant instructions were given, including to further strengthen the constant monitoring and control over the activities of illegal Armenian armed groups in Karabakh, the press service of the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry reported.
The meeting also analyzed the results of the joint Azerbaijani-Turkish exercises. At the same time, the special significance of the "Brotherly Fist" exercise, which took place this week in the city of Baku, as well as in the Astara, Jabrayil and Imishli regions, was noted, during which all the tasks were successfully completed.
Defense Minister Zakir Hasanov stated that the joint Azerbaijani-Turkish exercises contribute to ensuring stable peace and security in the region. --06B--
