The Azerbaijani army also established control over Buzdukh Mount too
Baku/06.08.22/Turan: The Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan announced the establishment of control of the Azerbaijani army over Buzdukh Mount and the surrounding heights.
“As a result of clarifications carried out by our units on the territory, Buzdukh Mount and the heights surrounding it came under the control of the Azerbaijani Army,” the press service said in particular, responding to a media request.
Taking into account the previous reports of the military department during the counter-terrorist operation "Retribution" on August 3, the Azerbaijani army advanced in three directions, occupying the dominant heights. So, Mount Sarybaba and a number of other heights along the Lachin corridor were taken.
In addition, control was established over the Gyrkhgyz mountain, which provides visual control over Khankendi and its environs from the western side.
The capture of the Buzdukh Mount (the peak is located at an altitude of 2374 m above sea level), located at the junction of the Kalbajar and former Agdere regions near the village of Vank, also means establishing control over the dominant heights in the north-west of Karabakh. --06B--
