The Caucasian Muslims Office (CMO): London embassy attack is a provocation under the guise of concern for religion
Baku/05.08.22/Turan: The Caucasian Muslims Office (CMO) issued a statement in connection with the August 4 attack by religious radicals on the Azerbaijani Embassy in London.
"The CMO categorically condemns this aggressive act, considers it a planned political terror and an act of vandalism."
The attack on the state flag, a symbol of Azerbaijan's sovereignty, and the use of religious slogans are regarded in the statement as "abuse of religion."
Mutual understanding and friendship between religions and confessions reign in Azerbaijan. There is no place for the ideology of radical extremism in the country.
"Insulting symbols of the state under the guise of caring for religion is an unacceptable provocation and we hope that the UK authorities will take the necessary measures in this regard," the statement said.
It should be noted that recently the head of the CMO Allahshukur Pashazade visited London, where he spoke at an international conference on freedom of religion and belief. --05D--
