The Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijani Army met with the Secretary of the Council of Defense Ministers of the CIS
Baku/13.09.22/Turan: On September 12, First Deputy Minister of Defense – Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijani Army, Colonel-General Kerim Veliyev met with Secretary of the Council of Defense Ministers of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), Major-General Yuri Dashkin, who is on a visit to Azerbaijan.
The meeting discussed organizational issues related to the next meeting of the Committee of Chiefs of Staff of the Armed Forces of the CIS member states, which is scheduled to be held in Baku in October this year.
The parties decided to inspect the meeting place and exchanged views on a number of other issues, the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan reports.--0--

On Monday, the Baku Appeals Court considered the appeal of Talysh researcher Iqbal Abilov against the extension of his detention for another four months. The defense argued that the decision to extend Abilov's detention was unjustified, lawyer Fariz Namazly told reporters.
