The Court of Appeal dismisses the appeal of Ilgar Mamedov
Today at Baku Appeal Court presided by the judge Jamal Ramzanova considered the appeal of Ilgar Mamedov, the head of REAL Civil Movement on the extension of his detention until September 4.
The judge ignored all the arguments of the defense of unreasonableness extension arrest, and upheld the decision of the Nasimi District Court of May 15, Turan was told by the lawyer Fuad Agayev.
Mamedov was arrested in connection with the events of January 23-24 in Ismailli and charged with organizing of mass riots and resisting police.
The European Court of Human Rights, the queue accepted the case and began to communicate with the government of Azerbaijan. The decision to leave Mammadov in custody was adopted after the Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights, N.Muzhnieks and PACE President, Jean-Claude Minon, visited him in jail.—06В--
