The courts do not want to consider the complaint by Hilal Mamedov
The Sabail court forwarded the Baku Administrative Economic Court No 1 the complaint from the editor of the newspaper Tolyshi Sado Hilal Mamedov on breach of his presumption of innocence.
According to the lawyer Khalid Bagirov, the complaint is that the statement of the Interior Ministry and the Prosecutor General of July 4, 2012 presented Hilal Mammadov as a proven criminal. This is a direct violation of the presumption of innocence.
The lawyer said that the complaint was to be considered at the end of seven months in Sabail court by the judge Rauf Ahmadov, but the court sent it to Baku Administrative Economic Court No 1. The Sabail court justified this by saying that the Interior Ministry and the Prosecutor General's Office are administrative bodies, and such complaints should be considered in the higher court.
The lawyer called the answer unfounded, since the complaint is related to the criminal case of Hilal Mamedov, and these actions are legal red tape. -16D04-
