The European Court continues to reveal shortcomings in the Azerbaijani judicial system
Baku/28.10.21/Turan:On October 28, the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) announced 4 decisions on a complaint sent from Azerbaijan. The Government must pay a total of EUR 239,450 in compensation to 51 applicants for 4 judgments, said the r Khalid Agaliyev.

Arzu Samadbeyli and other applicants in the case against Azerbaijan nominated themselves for parliamentary elections from opposition political parties in the 2015 parliamentary elections. However, their applications for nomination were not accepted on the grounds that some of their signatures in support of the election were unreliable. The applicants, whose complaints to the CEC and the courts were not satisfied, argued that there had been an interference with their electoral rights. According to the ruling, the Azerbaijani government will pay compensation in the amount of 4,750 euros to each of 37 applicants, 5,000 euros from 3 applicants. and EUR 4,500 for each of the 1 applicant ".

The case of Elvin Adiyev and Elchin Namazov against Azerbaijan was related to the fact that the applicants were administratively punished for failing to comply with a lawful request from a police officer. The applicants, who were sentenced to between 3 and 15 days of administrative arrest, complained about the unfairness of the courts. “And in this matter the parties came together in a friendly way.
