Глава МИД Ирана Мохаммад Джавад Зариф
The illogical hysteria of the Iranian Foreign Minister
Baku / 11.12.20 / Turan: Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif unexpectedly made a scandal. The chief diplomat of such a large state behaved like a capricious child, or like a jealous husband. The reason is that Turkish President Erdogan quoted a poem by the poet Bakhtiyar Vahabzade at the Victory Parade in Baku on December 10.
On his Twitter account, he wrote, “President Erdogan was not informed that what he ill-recited in Baku refers to the forcible separation of areas north of Aras from Iranian motherland. Didn't he realize that he was undermining the sovereignty of the Republic of Azerbaijan? No one can talk about our beloved Azerbaijan."
It seems that the Iranian diplomat himself did not understand what he wanted to say.
If the talk is about the sovereignty of the Republic of Azerbaijan, then this country has its own leadership and it is able to defend its sovereignty, and then Tehran's support is not needed. If Iran loves Azerbaijanis so much, then let it ensure the rights of 30 million of its citizens of Azerbaijani nationality.
In this case, Iran's jealousy is most likely caused by the fact that Tehran was left behind in the settlement of the Karabakh conflict. For many years, Iran was one of the main economic partners of Armenia and helped this country in every possible way, and in words swore love for Azerbaijan. When Azerbaijan resolved the issue by military means, Tehran "woke up" daily repeating that it supports the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. Tehran's particular discontent was caused by the fact that land communication will be restored between Nakhchivan and the rest of Azerbaijan, so Iran's services will no longer be required. Apparently, Mohammed Zarif was unable to digest all these "misfortunes". -02B-
