The Movement for Democracy and Prosperity demands to stop repression against critics of the government
Baku/11.10.21/Turan: The Movement for Democracy and Prosperity (MDP) is seriously concerned about the repressive actions of the current government against its political rivals. In particular, the MDP strongly condemned the convicting the bodyguard of the PFPA leader Ali Karimli - Niyameddin Ahmedov, to 13 years of imprisonment on the basis of trumped-up charges.
The Movement demanded his immediate release. The authors of the statement believe that such measures are aimed at eliminating political opponents of the government and preventing possible political and social activity of citizens in the establishment of a democratic regime.
The Movement has also criticized the current regime for imprisoning active social media user Keramet Boyukchol in the Republican Narcological Dispensary in Mashtaga under the guise of treatment.
The MDB demanded that the authorities release all social and political activists isolated for political purposes. The MDB was created in February 2015, and is headed by the economist-scientist Gubad Ibadoglu. –06В-
