The Norwegian Helsinki Committee called for the immediate release of “Abzas Media” journalists
Baku/22.11.23/Turan: The Norwegian Helsinki Committee strongly condemned the arrests Ulvi Hasanli and Sevinj Vagifgizi, the director and editor-in-chief of “Abzas Media” in Azerbaijan on "false accusations of smuggling," as well as the detention of another member of this team, Mohammed Kekalov.
The committee called on the Azerbaijani authorities to stop pressure on independent media and immediately release the detained journalists, the organization said in a statement on the social network X. -16D-
