The passage of Red Cross vehicles through the checkpoint "Lachin" has been resumed
Baku/14.07.23/Turan: The passage of vehicles of the International Committee of the Red Cross transporting patients from Khankendi to Armenia through the Lachin border checkpoint resumed today.
Information and video footage about this were distributed by Azerbaijani telegram channels.
The Lachin checkpoint was closed on July 11 after the facts of smuggling by Red Cross vehicles were revealed. The organization stated that these shipments were carried out without its knowledge and reported the dismissal of Armenian drivers who committed these illegal actions. ---06B---

On January 17, the Khatai District Court of Baku rejected the requests for house arrest for journalists Aynur Elgünesh and Natig Djavadly, employees of Meydan TV, their lawyers, Elchin Sadigov and Zibeyda Sadigova reported to Turan news agency. According to the lawyers, there are no legal or procedural grounds for keeping the journalists in detention. The journalists themselves stated that the criminal case against them had been fabricated to punish them for their professional activities. The defense intends to appeal the court's refusal to transfer the journalists to house arrest.
