The Patriarchate of Georgia is outraged with the clip of the Azerbaijani ATV channel
Tbilisi / 07.09.15 / Turan-BSPRESS: The Patriarchate of Georgia has expressed outrage at the broadcast by the Azerbaijani TV channel ATV a video, shot in the temple Kurmuhi named after Georgian chapel of St. George at the present territory of Azerbaijan. On video a man and woman beat with a stick on the head, they lose consciousness, dress up in their robes and enter the temple. In the cache of the temple, they found some treasure, after which a woman runs away, and the man left and fend off the clerics.
"Those people who have made the video turned into a playground a space that is a place for worship for Orthodox Christians and Muslis. For many centuries believers respectfully come barefoot to tearfully ask from St. George for God's help," says the statement of the Georgian Patriarchate.
The Patriarchate is outraged that the shooting took place also in the altar and the temple, which is a complete disregard for the religious feelings of tens of thousands of faithful.
The Patriarchate of Georgia has appealed to the Georgian and Azerbaijani authorities to begin an investigation into the matter and take appropriate action in a timely manner. -02D-
