Məhərrəm Talıbov
Baku/30.12.22/Turan: Maharram Talibov, the brother of the former chairman of the Supreme Majlis of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Vasif Talibov, was dismissed "at his own will" from the post of deputy prosecutor of Nakhchivan and he was removed from the prosecutor's office, the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office. Vasif Talibov himself resigned on December 21 after 27 years of leadership in the Nakhchivan region.
The resignation coincided with the arrest of 3 high-ranking officials after checks carried out by the State Security Service in Nakhchivan. The arrested were accused of embezzlement of 488 million manats of state funds. On December 22, Ilham Aliyev appointed Fuad Najafov as a plenipotentiary representative to Nakhchivan.
After that, the dismissal of Talibov's relatives continued. Currently, only his eldest son, Rza Talibov, who is the deputy chairman of the Migration Service of Azerbaijan, remains in a high position. ---03B---

From 19 to 26 July, 24 automatic rifles, 1 machine gun, 9 rifles, 28 grenades, 441 shells, 3118 cartridges of different calibre and other ammunition were found in Khankendi, the Azerbaijani Interior Ministry reported. During the mentioned period, the police found 1 machine gun, 50 grenades, 7 fuses, 3 shells and 320 cartridges of different calibre in Shusha.

President Ilham Aliyev has approved by decree the Azerbaijan-Kazakh intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in military intelligence defense sector. The document was signed in Baku on 7 June 2024.
