The results of joint Azerbaijani-Turkish exercises in Nakhchivan
Baku/08.09.20 / Turan: As part of the agreement on military cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkey, joint large-scale tactical exercises with live fire were held on the territory of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic on September 3-5. Ground forces and combat aircraft were involved in the exercises, the press service of the Ministry of Defense said.
The purpose of the exercises is to expand the exchange of experience between the personnel of the units of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan and Turkey, as well as the special forces of the power structures of Nakhchivan.
According to the scenario of the exercises, the firing stage began with the neutralization of the enemy reconnaissance and sabotage groups by the special forces of the Nakhchivan border detachment and the State Security Service.
Further, rocket and artillery units and Special Forces units opened fire on enemy positions, and the troops of the Nakhchivan garrison, together with units of the Turkish Armed Forces, attacked and destroyed enemy personnel, armored vehicles and aircraft.
During the exercises, the tasks of joint planning of operations of the Azerbaijani and Turkish units, organization of interaction and comprehensive support of troops were solved.
