The Russian delegation began the meeting with Aliyev in Baku
Baku/21.11.20/Turan: The Russian interdepartmental delegation, which arrived in Baku on Saturday, began a meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, Russian foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said.
"The meeting of the Russian interdepartmental delegation with the President of Azerbaijan has started in Baku," Zakharova wrote on her Facebook page.
The Russian interdepartmental delegation, which includes Russian foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, flew to Baku from Yerevan, where earlier on Saturday it held a series of meetings with representatives of the Armenian leadership.
In addition to Lavrov, the delegation includes, in particular, the head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova, Russian health Minister Mikhail Murashko and Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk. Russian defense Minister Sergei Shoigu also arrived in Baku earlier.
The meeting is being held at the residence of the President of Azerbaijan.
Earlier, the Russian delegation visited Yerevan, where a number of meetings were held with the Armenian leadership, RIA Novosti reports. -0—

On Saturday, December 7th, a session of the "Musavat" Party's Majlis took place. During the session, the party leader, Isa Gambar, presented a report on the current socio-political situation in the country. The Majlis also approved a decision by the party’s board to grant district organizations of "Musavat" the authority to nominate candidates for the municipal elections scheduled for January 29, 2025. The press freedom organization Reporters Without Borders (RSF) condemned the arrests of Meydan TV employees. A statement of the organization on RSF’s X (formerly Twitter) account said: "Reporters Without Borders condemns these new arrests and calls for their immediate release, as well as the release of 13 other journalists held in disgraceful conditions on trumped-up charges."
