Baku/09.09.23/Turan: The Russian Red Cross Society has sent assistance to the Armenian residents of Karabakh, the Azerbaijan Red Crescent Society reported on September 9.
According to the same source, assistance was allocated “according to initiative of the Russian government and in accordance with the memorandum of cooperation between the Azerbaijan Red Crescent Society and the Russian Red Cross Society."
On September 9, 14:30, a truck of the Russian Red Cross with food and non-food items entered the territory of Azerbaijan through the Samur checkpoint for the subsequent delivery of products to Khankendi.
Heavy truck will follow the route Samur-Baku-Barda, - Agdam-Askeran-Khankendi. After the cargo reaches its final destination, additional information will be provided, the Azerbaijan Red Crescent Society emphasized.
Earlier, on August 29, the Azerbaijan Red Crescent Society delivered two trucks with flour to the Russian peacekeepers’ post on the Aghdam-Khankndi road. However, the Armenians refused to accept the cargo and blocked the road in Askeran.—06B-
