The secretary of the Higher Attestation Commission placed under house arrest
Baku/12.07.23/Turan: Scientist-secretary of the Higher Attestation Commission Aliev Shafa Tiflis oglu has been brought to criminal responsibility.
According to the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office, the investigation had reasonable suspicions that Aliyev, using the opportunity to influence the decisions of officials of the structure in which he worked, "abused his official duties" and sought the assignment of scientific degrees to various persons in exchange for monetary remuneration."
Based on the collected evidence, Aliyev was brought as an accused under articles 312-1 (unlawful influence on the decision of an official) and 308.1 (abuse of official authority). By a court decision, a preventive measure was chosen against him in the form of house arrest with removal from office. ---06B---
