The Senate of Canada has rejected the resolution on recognition of Nagorno Karabakh independence
Baku/09.12.20/Turan: The Canadian Senate rejected draft resolution number 36 on the recognition of Nagorno-Karabakh as an independent state.
The author of the project, Senator Leo Usakos, criticized Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, whose government opposed the adoption of the resolution.
The draft resolution calls on to condemn the "aggression" of Azerbaijan and Turkey against Karabakh and to impose a ban on the supply of military products to Turkey.
Sixteen senators voted for the resolution, 53 voted against, five abstained. —0—
