Baku/27.08.21/Turan: A preparatory meeting scheduled for today in the case of former Azerbaijani Ambassador and ex-Prosecutor General Eldar Hasanov has been postponed to September 3, his lawyer Javad Javadov told Turan.
The reason for the transfer was an unexpected concern of the judge about the observance of procedural norms. So, the judge Afgan Hajiyev suddenly saw that Hasanov was notified of the meeting in less than seven days which is a violation. However, Hasanov himself did not see a problem in this and appeared at the meeting although he moved with difficulty.
* Eldar Hasanov Hasanov is charged with embezzlement during his work as Ambassador to Romania, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro from 2010 to 2020. The point is about the misappropriation of more than 180.000 euros during the repair work and the acquisition of premises for embassies. - 06B-
