Baku/20.09.23/Turan: UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has issued a call for an immediate ceasefire in the Karabakh region, emphasizing the imperative need to adhere to the agreements established in 2020, as relayed by his official spokesperson, Stefan Dujarric.
The Secretary-General "strongly urges an immediate cessation of hostilities, de-escalation, and rigorous adherence to the 2020 ceasefire and the principles of international humanitarian law," as outlined by Dujarric.
Antonio Guterres has maintained a vigilant eye on the dire humanitarian circumstances on the ground and reiterates his plea for prompt measures to facilitate unimpeded access for humanitarian organizations to reach those in dire need.
