Baku/21.12.22/Turan: The founders of the human rights organization "Defence Line" Rufat Safarov and Zaur Akper visited the US Embassy in Azerbaijan on December 21. They informed about the state of the case of the arrested activist Bakhtiyar Hajiyev, his hunger strike and, in general, about the situation with human rights. They were received by the political adviser and the head of the political department, Rufat safarov told Turan. On the evening of February 5, it was reported that journalist Shahnaz Beylargizi had been arrested. She had been a presenter on the Toplum TV channel for several years. After a criminal case was initiated against the channel in March 2024 and nearly all of its staff were arrested, Beylargizi was questioned multiple times.
