There are no political risks for TAP

No one is safe from risks, including the events that may occur in the future; this is how the President of SOCAR, Rovnag Abdullayev, answered at today’s press-conference to the question on the possible risks to the project TAP (Trans Adriatic Pipeline).

However, the policy by Azerbaijan is aimed at peace and cooperation, including all of its neighbors.

”In his speech at a military parade on June 26 the president of Azerbaijan said that we are committed to a peaceful settlement of the Karabakh conflict. Azerbaijan always gives preference to the principles of peace and cooperation,"- said Abdullayev.

"I do not think that there may be political risks of the project TAP. In the realization of the project "Shah Deniz-2" we use the experience of "Shah Deniz-1".

Processes extending to the border with Georgia and the works carried out in the Caspian Sea at the international level; correspond to the laws of Azerbaijan. Therefore, we do not see the political risks for the project," said Abdullayev.

The president of BP for Azerbaijan, Turkey and Georgia, Gordon Birrel said: "We have been exporting oil from the Caspian Sea for 15 years. There was never a political risk and interventions. We work with the governments of Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey, and highly appreciate our cooperation and activities of these governments," said on.-06D-
