There Is No Need for Mobilization - I. Aliyev
Baku / 16.07.20 / Turan: In the last days after an escalation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, 150 people turned to the State Service for Mobilization and Conscription for military service to be sent to the front. Sixty 60 of the applicants were from the Tovuz district. This was stated by President Ilham Aliyev at a government meeting on July 15.
“Therefore, everyone who said yesterday “I want to fight in Karabakh”, let them pass their personal data to the State Mobilization Service and confirm their desire to serve, and we will attract them at the right time,” Aliyev said, pointing out that some people under calls for universal mobilization incite people to illegal actions and earn political capital under the banner of Karabakh.
Aliyev noted that there is no need for mobilization. Authorities know what to do and when. If someone wants to make himself a street hero here, then this is a bad way. I say again: the vast majority of the people who gathered at the Alley of Martyrs yesterday are patriots, but there were some elements - the scum from the Popular Front of Azerbaijan, who got into their ranks. What was their purpose? Was it to plunge Azerbaijan into darkness again, to aggravate the situation again - so that the Armenians take advantage of this again?” Aliyev stated. —06D-
