Three Azerbaijani children repatriated from Ukraine after death of parents
Baku/05.05.22/Turan: Three Azerbaijani children whose parents were killed during the fighting in Kharkiv have been repatriated to Azerbaijan via Russia.
According to the press service of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, the children arrived in Baku on May 4. The children's parents are Emin Zabit oglu Mahmudov, a citizen of Azerbaijan, and Lyudmila Mahmudova, a citizen of Ukraine, who died in Kharkov.
After the death of their parents, Renata Makhmudova (born in 2007), David Makhmudov (born in 2010) and Dayana Makhmudova (born in 2017) were transferred to the Russian Federation.
The necessary measures were taken to repatriate the children to Azerbaijan, including the establishment of citizenship and the appointment of guardianship.
The Azerbaijani Embassy in the Russian Federation provided legal assistance and exit documents. With the support of the Azerbaijani government, the children will be provided with necessary legal, medical, social and psychological assistance. After their transfer to a foster family, the work over their social rehabilitation will continue, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.-06B-
