Tough Quarantine Announced Over the Next Two Weeks
Baku / 19.06.20 / Turan: Prime Minister Ali Asadov signed a decree on Friday to impose strict quarantine from June 21 to July 5 in Baku, Ganja, Sumgayit, Lankaran, Masalli, Jalilabad and in the Absheron region.
According to the decree, the work of large shopping centers, with the exception of grocery markets and pharmacies, is prohibited within the specified time limits; services on-site catering facilities; museums and exhibition salons; hairdressing and beauty salons (including home services); educational system enterprises, except for online classes and exams; conducting outdoor sporting events.
If official certificates are available, the movement of employees of the following organizations is allowed:
Presidential Administration; Cabinet of Ministers; Milli Majlis; heads of central and local executive authorities and their deputies; heads of state legal entities and their deputies; law enforcement officials, courts and military personnel, and lawyers;
Accredited diplomats and employees of international organizations in Azerbaijan.
Employees of other state institutions and private organizations will be able to move around with a permit obtained by registering on icaze.e-gov.az.
Agricultural workers are also entitled to travel after registration on icaze.e-gov.az.
The remaining citizens will be able to leave their place of residence in the following cases: for emergency medical care; to buy food, medicine, visit a bank or mail, to participate in the funeral of a close relative. To this end, they must receive SMS permission by sending a notification to the number 8103.
The number 1 is sent in case of visiting the doctor for a period of 2 hours, the number 2 - when buying products and everyday necessities, visiting the post office and the bank for 2 hours once a day. When sending SMS, the citizen's ID number is entered.
In emergencies and in case of a life threat, sending SMS is not required.
In the case of calls to the court or law enforcement agencies, citizens must submit relevant documents, the Prime Minister said. -02D-

Adalyat Verdiyev, the head of the civil defense staff at the public legal entity Center for Public Health and Reform under the Ministry of Health, and a military expert, has been arrested.
