Turkish troops entered Syrian territory, Interfax reported with reference to the Iranian media. According to local TV, a convoy of Turkish troops entered the Syrian town of Dzharablus supported by several helicopters on August 7. However, Turkish media have not reported this fact.
Turkish Prime Minister, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, had not ruled out the likelihood that his troops would invade Syria, because of the threat posed by terrorist organizations, said MTRK World. In addition, last week, Turkey conducted exercises along the border with Syria.
Earlier it was reported that Syrian rebels were provided with man-portable air defense systems (MANPADS) through Turkey to combat the military helicopters of Bashar al-Assad. Who provided the MANPADS has not been reported.
Turkey has become a haven for more than 40 Syrian military personnel, among which is the formerly closest associate of the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, General Manaf Tlass. Turkey has a total of 50,000 Syrian refugees. -0 -
