Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan and Afghanistan agree on cooperation on transport for the current year
Baku/21.01.21/Turan: During a video conference on January 19, the leaders of the interdepartmental group of Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan and Afghanistan for the development of transport communications discussed the possibilities of implementing the transport corridor.
The meeting was attended by the Turkmen Deputy Prime Minister Bayramgeldy Ovezov, the Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Shahin Mustafayev and the head of the Central Bank of Afghanistan Ajmal Ahmadi.
The parties noted the effectiveness of cooperation in this format, assessed the results of interaction over the past period and discussed plans for the current year The negotiations resulted in signing a roadmap for cooperation on the transport corridor (Lazurite Corridor).
The agreement between Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, Georgia and Turkey on the development of transport communications was signed in November 2017 in Ashgabat. -0-
