Ukraine Wants to Become Member of Southern Gas Corridor
Baku / 09/10/19 / Turan: Ukraine wants to become a member of the Southern Gas Corridor (SGC) project, the Ukrainian Ambassador to Baku Vladislav Kanevsky said at a press conference on Tuesday.
He sees his country"s participation in the project primarily as a transit country for Azerbaijani gas to the European Union. At the same time, he spoke in favor of strengthening bilateral cooperation in the energy sector, noting the active presence of SOCAR in Ukraine.
Touching upon bilateral relations in the political sphere, the Ambassador noted their high level. He did not rule out that a meeting of the Presidents of Ukraine and Azerbaijan will be held within the framework of the UN General Assembly. At the same time, the parties are working on organizing a separate meeting between the heads of the two countries. -02D-
