US companies will invest where there are conditions for this - Ambassador Lissenberger
Baku/23.11.21/Turan: The United States continues measures to support efforts to return displaced persons to their homes. These include steps to demine the territories, implement projects for the development of agriculture, etc. Since 1992, America has allocated 125 million dollars in support of internally displaced persons and this assistance will continue. This was stated at a briefing on November 22 by the US Ambassador to Azerbaijan Lee Litzenberger.
A number of American companies have extensive experience and special equipment and technology to speed up the demining process. Negotiations are currently underway with ANAMA to involve them in the demining process, the Ambassador noted.
Touching upon the possibility of participation of American companies in economic projects in Azerbaijan, the diplomat noted that US companies have all kinds of modern technologies and equipment. They are ready to invest in various industries, including the restoration of liberated territories. "They are ready to invest where there are appropriate conditions, and, above all, open tenders," the Ambassador stressed. -02V-
