US Secretary of State to Hold Meetings with Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan, Armenia Today
Washington DC. / 23.10.20 / Turan: US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo will hold separate meetings with the Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan on Friday, the US Department of State said.
Pompeo is scheduled to meet with Azerbaijani Minister Jeyhun Bayramov at 9.30 local time (17.30 Baku time), and at 10.30 he will meet with Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan.
Earlier, Pompeo said that he wants to hear from the Ministers information about the situation on the ground and try to find ways to de-escalate the armed conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh.
A day earlier, US Ambassador to NATO Kay Bailey Hutchison said the conflict should be resolved within the framework of Azerbaijan's sovereignty and borders. -02D-
