U.S. Senate committee approved a package of assistance to Armenia and Karabakh
Yerevan/20.06.14/Turan-ArmInfo: The Appropriations Committee of the U.S. Senate by 25 votes "for" and 5 "against" approved foreign aid package in 2015 (FY15), which provides assistance to victims of the Karabakh conflict, Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA) reported.
The senators approved the amount of aid to Armenia proposed by U.S. President Barack Obama, in the amount of $ 20.7 million, as well as assistance of $ 1.7 million in foreign military assistance to Armenia.
Another $ 600,000 will be spent on education and training of Armenian servicemen.
According to Armenian sources, the U.S. retained the parity of U.S. military aid to Armenia and Azerbaijan.
