US urged Russia to withdraw troops from Georgia
Tbilisi / 30.04.18 / Turan: Assistant Secretary of State for European Affairs, Wess Mitchell, called on Russia to withdraw its military contingent from Georgia. The US supports the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Georgia, Mitchell said at the NATO-Georgia People's Diplomacy Forum, which opened in Tbilisi today. According to him, US President Donald Trump supports Georgia's integration into NATO.
"Donald Trump supports the 2008 Bucharest Summit Declaration (the alliance agreed that Ukraine and Georgia will become NATO members) and calls on the NATO member countries to fulfill the commitments undertaken in this direction," Mitchell said.
The Assistant Secretary of State recalled that the Secretary General of NATO, Jens Stoltenberg, also provided concrete support to Georgia on this issue.
"Georgia's membership in NATO does not depend on Russia or any other country. This is the whole solution of Georgia. Only Georgia can make a decision about its future. No state has the right to interfere with Georgia's integration into NATO," said the US Assistant Secretary of State. -0-

The head of state is a state manager hired for a certain period of time, not a "shadow of the Almighty". This was stated by Kazakhstani President Kasym Zhomart Tokayev in an interview with Ana Tili. He criticised his predecessor Nursultan Nazarbayev and actually accused him of provoking mass riots in the country in January 2020.

Azerbaijan is positioning itself as a key energy partner for Europe amidst growing challenges in the natural gas market following the cessation of Russian gas transit through Ukraine. The disruption, marking the end of a decade-long transit route, is expected to heighten competition in the global liquefied natural gas (LNG) market and drive up prices for alternative energy sources.
