Visit of President of Serbia to Azerbaijan
Baku / 21.05.18 / Turan: Serbian President Alexander Vucic arrived in Azerbaijan on an official visit, the website of the head of state reported. The program of the visit is not reported.
Vucic's visit is taking place against the background of the expected next week launch of the first stage of the Southern Gas Corridor with the transportation of Azerbaijani gas from the Shah Deniz-2 field to Turkey in the newly constructed TANAP pipeline.
It is expected that in 2020 Azerbaijani gas will reach the south of Europe via the TAP pipeline. Serbia is among the countries that show interest in the purchase of Azerbaijani gas.
Apparently, Vucic's visit is largely connected with energy issues and specifically purchases of Azerbaijani gas. -06D--
