Despite Hospitalization, Seyidov's Health Remains Grave
Baku / 21.05.18 / Turan: The detained activist of the Popular Front Party Mirfeyzullah Seyidov has been placed in the medical point of the Kurdakhany detention center, the lawyer Javad Javadov told Turan.
According to him, Seyidov's health remains grave. The Defense considers this measure insufficient to improve Seyidov"s health and insists on the release of the oppositionist.
He is taken to the dialysis procedure three times a week, which lasts 4 hours, and then another 4 hours he remains in hospital to recover. Seyidov still has a number of serious illnesses, including diabetes and hypertension.
Last week, the lawyer asked the Prosecutor General to change the measure of restraint, but received no response. On Monday in the afternoon, the appeal against the arrest will be considered.
Seyidov rejects the charges against him under Article 234.4.3 (illegal drug trafficking on a large scale) of the Criminal Code.
Seyidov was detained on May 9. The next day, the court applied a preventive measure of four-month arrest to him. In the PFPA they believe Seyidov is being persecuted for political reasons.-16 / 03B-

For Elshan Hasanov, a 46-year-old man with severe hearing impairment (fourth-degree), what should have been a straightforward process to receive government-provided hearing aids has turned into a bureaucratic nightmare involving three healthcare agencies. As a result, Hasanov is forced to pay nearly 60 manats ($35) several times a year for what used to be a free service—a cost he says is untenable on his modest disability pension.
