Visit of the Minister of Defense of Lithuania
On Wednesday, President Ilham Aliyev received the Minister of Defense of Lithuania Juozas Olekas, who arrived in Baku on an official visit.
As the press service of the President said, during the meeting the sides discussed issues of bilateral cooperation in the political, economic and other fields.
At the same time, the role of the Ministries of Defense of both countries to strengthen such cooperation was noted.
On the same day, the talks continued between the defense ministers of the two countries in the Defense Ministry of Azerbaijan.
Zakir Hasanov and Juozas Olekas with the participation of delegations from the two sides discussed regional issues, cooperation in the framework of NATO, and the state of the Karabakh conflict.
The visit of the Lithuanian Minister will continue until October 10. -02D-

On January 15, the Tbilisi Court of Appeals rejected the appeal of Afghan Sadigov, the founder of the Azel TV website, who had protested his extradition to Azerbaijan. On January 15, the Yasamal District Court rejected the motion to change the detention measure for Azer Gasymly, the director of the Institute of Political Management, his lawyer, Agyl Laidj, to Turan. "Azer Gasymly stated during the trial that the charges against him were fabricated and related to his socio-political activities," the lawyer said. An appeal will be filed against the court's decision.
