Will Georgian Government Resign?
Baku / 12.06.18 / Turan: Significant changes may take place in the government of Georgia in the coming days. In particular, the Premier might leave his post. This was reported by Pirveli Radio (First Radio) of Georgia on June 12.
According to this media, Prime Minister Georgy Kvirikashvili will leave office. Together with him, Justice Minister Thea Tsulukiani, Minister of Economy Dimitri Kumshishvili, Foreign Minister Mikhail Janelidze and Culture Minister Mikhail Giorgadze will retire.
Prior to the formation of the new government, the duties of the Prime Minister will be performed by the Minister of Internal Affairs and First Deputy Prime Minister Georgy Gakharia.
Official confirmation of this news is not yet available, but in the ruling party Georgian Dream they are talking about it openly, Pirveli Radio said.
Recall there have been mass street protests demanding the resignation of the government in Georgia for two weeks. The rallies were initiated by the parents of two teenagers who were killed during a fight. The parents protested that the authorities did not conduct an objective investigation and hid the real killers. -02D-

On January 15, the Yasamal District Court rejected the motion to change the detention measure for Azer Gasymly, the director of the Institute of Political Management, his lawyer, Agyl Laidj, to Turan. "Azer Gasymly stated during the trial that the charges against him were fabricated and related to his socio-political activities," the lawyer said. An appeal will be filed against the court's decision.
